Pete Wicks thinks working with Sam Thompson represents "a bit of a risk".

The 37-year-old TV star and Sam have their own production company called Staying Relevant, which recently acquired Sam's sister, Louise, and her fiancé, Ryan Libbey's, podcast, He Said, She Said.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Pete reflected: "Obviously I've known Louise and Ryan for some time and it's a bit of a risk taking on kind of family members into the business side of stuff, because there's obviously a slight conflict of interest.

"But with Sam and Louise, it's tough then you're working with family and all sorts of stuff, which is why I do quite a lot on the He Said and She Said side of things because it separates it a little bit.

"But the nicest part of it is bringing in more of Sam's family because we've always been a family, like all of us together? As much as I'm not part of that family, Sam's mum, Sam's dad, Louise, all of Sam's family have always made me feel like part of the family.

"And one of the things that we have here at Staying Relevant, as in the production company, all the staff we've got is that it's also a bit of a family. So now we're all just this great big blended bunch of f***** idiots that work together, really."

Sam thinks it's important to have defined roles in their business relationship.

The TV star said: "One of the best things that could, when we work with Louise and Ryan, is what Pete said there, is I actually don't have much to do with it.

"So Pete actually is pretty much fully in charge of that sector. And I think it was one of the best ideas ever, because it had exactly what Pete said. It means I don't really have any sort of say in terms of when, if Louise is saying anything, I don't really know what it is that she's saying, she goes straight to Pete. So it means that there's never a crossover."
