Jeremy Clarkson has announced a star-studded line-up for the inaugural Great British Farm-Fest.

The 65-year-old former Top Gear host – who also fronts ITV’s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? as well as The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime Video – will headline the event alongside his partner Lisa Hogan and his Clarkson’s Farm colleagues Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland.

Jeremy’s event will also blend music veterans and the farming community in a weekend of entertainment from May 22–24.

Described as a celebration of agriculture and Britpop hits, the festival is set to feature performances from Sophie Ellis-Bextor, with the singer expected to perform hits such as Murder on the Dancefloor.

The festival’s organisers say it promises “muddy boots and electric guitars” in what they are billing as the biggest farming party in UK history.

According to the official festival announcement, the weekend event will feature a diverse mix of acts.

Sophie will open proceedings on Friday night, and on Saturday night Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs will debut a new all-star group dubbed the Fabulous Adjustable Band.

There will also be sets from The Shires, Groove Armada and Blur’s Alex James, as well as DJs Sara Cox and Chris Moyles.

The festival will feature a ‘Young Farmer DJ Battle’, hosted by Capital’s Chris Stark.

Jeremy’s long broadcast career spans more than three decades.

He rose to prominence as a motoring journalist and presenter on Top Gear, hosting the show’s hugely successful 2002 revival before moving on to The Grand Tour on Amazon with co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May.

His Clarkson’s Farm show has followed his attempts to run Diddly Squat Farm for years, and has made household names of his farming team, including Kaleb and agronomist Charlie.

Farm-Fest organisers say the three-day event will take place across 300 acres at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre.

Adult tickets start from £60, with discounted passes available for farmers through partners including The Royal Agricultural Society of England and the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs, The Farmers Guardian and the Royal Agricultural University.

Jeremy said: “We are going to get the farming message out to the public live. And have a great time doing it.”
