Eddie Boxshall - who dated Denise Van Outen for seven years - is engaged to personal trainer Caroline.
Denise Van Outen’s ex-boyfriend Eddie Boxshall is engaged.
The 52-year-old part-time DJ - who dated the 51-year-old TV presenter for seven years before their romance ended in 2022 - popped the question to personal trainer Caroline during a romantic getaway to Mallorca, Spain, on New Year's Day (01.01.26).
Captioning a photo of the smitten couple kissing as Caroline showed off the huge, sparkly diamond ring, Eddie penned: "We did something yesterday #mallorca #1.1.2026 (sic)."
Eddie's followers rushed to the upload's comments section to congratulate him and Caroline.
Phats and Small member Ben Ofoedu, 53 - who was previously engaged to 63-year-old TV presenter Vanessa Feltz - wrote: "Congratulations bro (sic)."
Another follower left: "Yesssss!! Congratulations you two! So happy for you both (sic)."
And a third supporter typed: "So pleased for you guys! Congratulations Ed x (sic)."
In August 2023, Eddie went Instagram official with Caroline, with a shot of him cuddling up to his flame - who has a strong resemblance to his ex-partner, Denise.
And one fan pointed this out in that post's comments section, who said: "Anyone going to state the obvious?"
Eddie replied: "Yeah I'm the happiest I've ever been... well spotted!"
Commodities trader Eddie dated Denise for seven years, and their romance memorably played out on Channel 4‘s Celebrity Gogglebox.
However, Denise dumped him in January 2022 after she found out that Eddie - who was replaced on her sofa on Celebrity Gogglebox by her close pal, 47-year-old Blue boy band member Duncan James - had sent up to 20 sex texts to other women behind her back on his iPad.
In May that year, Eddie - who has two children from a previous relationship, Jordan, 28, and 25 year old Leah - admitted he regretted what he had done on a single night after a few drinks.
He told The Sun: "I hurt Denise, I broke her trust, and I’m deeply sorry.
"I’m sitting here to say I hold my hands up to what I’ve done wrong. I deeply regret that I sent those messages.
"I’ve tried to apologise to Denise. I’ve sent her untold messages on text, on email, saying that I love her and that I’m sorry for what I’ve done - that I’m embarrassed and I’m ashamed.
"I’ve not been in a good place for six months - I’ve even turned to alcohol to help me cope. I knew my actions had broken us. But I still hoped that our seven-year relationship was strong enough to withstand a mistake I made at a very dark time in my life.
"As far as Denise is concerned, the trust between us is broken, and I have to respect that.”
In November 2022, Eddie stressed to the publication that there was “no animosity” between him and the former The Big Breakfast star.
He said: "There is no animosity. Life goes on, the world carries on going round. She's happy. I'm really happy she's moved on. And I wish all the love and luck in the world.
"You know, I'm still yet to start dating. I'm looking at career-wise first. Once I'm ready to move on, I'll move on."
Denise went on to find love with dancer Jimmy Barba; however, they broke up in late 2023 after an 18-month romance.
In June 2025, Denise went public with her new flame, businessman Adam Butler, at the Glastonbury music festival.
