Lewis Cope has seen work offers come "flooding in" since appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.
The 30-year-old actor - who was voted off the BBC Latin and ballroom competition with professional partner Katya Jones last weekend - is grateful for his time on the show because it has given him a higher profile and help catch the attention of a number of directors and producers.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "The attention Strictly creates and viewing figures are different to anything I've ever experienced.
"The offers have been flooding in, which is lovely."
After hanging up his dancing shoes, Lewis has a role on an undisclosed new show beginning in the coming weeks and he's excited to get back to his profession.
He said: "I loved dancing on Strictly but I am an actor.
"It will be great to be back on set and doing what I love doing.
"I'm happy the focus is back on my acting.
"I'll be on screen very soon... on television."
And Lewis is also keen to take on a theatre role after relishing the buzz of performing to a live audience on Strictly.
He said: "The beautiful thing about doing Strictly was having a live audience and feeling that reaction.
"That's something I'd get from doing the West End."
The Vera actor previously admitted he had gone further on Strictly than he'd expected.
Speaking after he was axed last weekend, he said: “It’s been more than I could have ever wished for. If someone had told me I’d last 11 weeks, I’d have snapped their hand off. Thank you to everyone for creating a space where people can grow, learn, and express themselves. It’s been incredible, and I’ll treasure it forever. Katya, you’ve given me everything I could wish for as a friend and teacher—I couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else.”
Lewis also spoke movingly about the support he’s received.
He said: “This show has brought my family together—four generations every Saturday night. My Nana Dot has been smiling throughout, and even young boys who thought dancing wasn’t for them have started sending us videos. If you can change one person’s life like that, then that’s enough.”
