Shirlie Kemp feels "guilty" about having a luxurious holiday Down Under as her husband Martin Kemp endures challenging living conditions in the isolated Australian jungle on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!.

The former Wham! backing vocalist and the other campmates' loved ones are staying at the glamorous JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa, Gold Coast, as they wait to be reunited with the celebrities after they exit the ITV jungle survival show.

And Shirlie - who has been married to Martin for 37 years - is enjoying the hotel's room service, plush beds and glasses of fizz, whilst the former Spandau Ballet bassist, 64, munches on rice and beans, guzzles boiling hot water, and sleeps on a camp bed.

Appearing on ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday morning (02.12.25), Shirlie, 63, admitted: "I'm very happy that I get the chance to be in Australia because it's so amazing here.

"But I do feel guilty that I'm the one enjoying having all the glory, and enjoying the lovely room service, glass of wine in the evenings, and Martin's sat on a log drinking boiled water."

However, Shirlie wants him out of the jungle so the pair - whose son Roman Kemp, 32, did I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019 and finished in third place - can enjoy a mini-holiday in Australia.

She said: "I don't know how much longer [he'll be in the jungle], but I secretly want him out to come and enjoy all of this because Australia is amazing."

The Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go hitmaker wished Martin were a bit livelier in camp.

Shirlie said: "I think Martin's been quite quiet though because I think that's who he is, he's quite quiet, and he likes to listen, so sometimes I want to say, 'Martin, come on, do more!'

"But I think it's a good rest and a detox for him."

Martin has yet to take on a Bushtucker Trial since arriving in the jungle on November 16, and Shirlie is praying he will soon - otherwise, she thinks he will not make it to the final on Sunday (07.12.25).

She said: "He needs more trials, he's not doing enough. So I think he's very comfortable, he's not doing anything to annoy anyone, so no one's voting for him to do a horrible trial. So we do need to see him do some more trials because I think he'd be up for it, anyway."

Every night, Shirlie and the campmates' loved ones watch the show, and they get whisked off to the camp, located in Dungay, New South Wales, if their family member has been voted out of the jungle by viewers.

And Shirlie loves hanging out with the family and friends.

She said: "We watch the show with all the rest of the families, so we feel connected to everyone who's in there because you're watching everyone's family members in there."
