X-Files legend David Duchovny is huge fan of British game show
X-Files legend David Duchovny is a huge fan of Catchphrase and the show's "talented" presenter Stephen Mulhern, but he thinks Naked Attraction is the "strangest thing" he has seen.
David Duchovny is a huge fan of Catchphrase.
The X-Files actor used to "talk at great length" about his love of the ITV game show and how "talented" presenter Stephen Mulhern is while he was on the set of his Amazon Prime psychological thriller series Malice, according to co-star Jack Whitehall.
Speaking on the Sunday Brunch Picky Bits podcast, comedian Jack said: "He was genuinely obsessed with Catchphrase and would race home every day to watch it.
"He’d say, 'Oh, it’s amazing with Mr Chips giving the clues and that guy Stephen Mulhern, he’s so talented.'
"He’d talk at great length about how much he loved Catchphrase."
However, Fresh Meat star Jack admitted 65-year-old David didn't share similar love for Channel 4 series Naked Attraction.
The programme sees a clothed contestant presented with six potential partners, who are standing in booths completely naked.
Throughout the show, the nude contestants reveal themselves from the feet up, and the clothed person eliminates a naked person until two are left.
The clothed individual then takes their own garments off, and picks one of the two to couple up with.
But, according to Jack, David described it as "the strangest thing he’d seen".
However, David won't have to worry about seeing any new series of the show.
In March, host Anna Richardson confirmed there were no plans for a new season.
When asked about a potential new series of Naked Attraction, she told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Unfortunately not. That's down to Channel 4 and the team at Studio Lambert.
"But I, too, am desperate for this to come back it's my favourite show ever."
Anna vowed to petition Channel 4 for a new series.
She added: "I think we should all petition Channel 4 to get the next season out there as soon as possible."
