Love Is Blind UK 'lands spinoff series' on Netflix
Netflix has reportedly commissioned a spinoff show featuring previous Love Is Blind UK couples.
Love Is Blind UK is reportedly getting a new spinoff series.
The hit reality dating show - which is fronted by married couple Emma and Matt Willis - is already set to return for a third series, and now a new show is in the pipeline showing how the couples from season one and two are coping together in the "real world".
A source told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "The spin-off series reunites couples, exes and fan favourites from the first British series.
“Among the familiar faces will be Megan and Kieran, celebrating their first wedding anniversary, Bobby and Jasmine, preparing to welcome their first child with a baby shower, and Kal and Sarover, meeting for the first time since their dramatic reunion revealed they had split.”
According to the outlet, the new show - which doesn't have a confirmed name yet - will have a similar format to the US version's Love Is Blind: After The Altar.
There is no release date set either, but it's believed the spinoff will hit Netflix in 2026, before season three airs on the streamer.
The main series sees an equal number of single men and women in separate areas as they spend two weeks dating members of the opposite sex.
The twist is, they're in pods and can't see the other person, with the focus on their personality and connection rather than their looks.
They then decide if they want to get engaged, before spending three weeks together in a flat, before revealing at their wedding ceremony whether or not they actually want to get married.
While Emma and Matt will be back for the third series, it was previously reported they were stepping down from the accompanying podcaast due to their demanding schedule.
A source told The Sun over the summer: "Matt and Emma loved doing it but they’re so, so busy – they couldn’t make their schedules work."
