Diversity's Jordan Banjo hoping not to be Perri Kiely's best man
Diversity's Jordan Banjo does not want to be Perri Kiely's best man because he cannot deal with the pressure that comes with writing the speech.
Diversity's Jordan Banjo would be "partly relieved" if his dance troupe co-member Perri Kiely snubbed him as best man at his future wedding.
Amid there being no official announcement that Perri, 29, and his actress girlfriend Jessica Pickles are engaged - despite the star having dropped a huge hint that he is in 2024 - Jordan, 32, dreads the pressure that comes with writing a best man's speech.
Jordan - who asked Perri to be his best man at his and Naomi's wedding in 2022 - told the new issue of Heat magazine: "I'd be partly relieved because there's nothing more pressured than a best man's speech.
"But I would be quite interested in who he picks."
But ultimately, Jordan thinks he will be the best man because Perri is "quite thin on friends".
Jordan quipped: "There aren't plenty of options outside of Diversity. So, I'm pretty much guaranteed for a best man."
He added: "Although he's close to another Diversity friend, Mitch [Craske]. Maybe he'll be best man, not me."
Perri and Jessica grew close to each other when they met doing the 2022 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs pantomime at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend-on-Sea, with the rest of the Diversity crew.
And three years later, Jordan says they are still "so loved-up".
Asked if he is hoping that Perri will be a dad or a husband soon, Jordan said: "Fingers crossed. He's so loved-up with his girlfriend Jess, but they're also doing their thing, going on trips and exploring the world."
And because of their trips and work commitments, Jordan thinks they will not get married for a while yet.
He added: "He's got the best of both worlds at the moment, so I think he's going to live the dream for a little while. But one day."
In 2024, Perri dropped a big hint that he and Jessica are engaged as he commented on her Instagram post about their exotic getaway.
Jessica uploaded a series of photos from their trip, captioning the post with: "Can’t get any better than this."
And Perri - who shot to fame with Diversity on ITV's Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 - teased that he had asked her to marry him by leaving a ring and the side-eye emoji in the post's comments section.
