Andi Peters rejected a big pay cheque to do this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!.

The 55-year-old presenter always refuses to take part in the ITV jungle survival show, which is filmed in Australia.

Appearing on the latest episode of the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, the Good Morning Britain star said: "I always say never say never.

"I was asked to go into it this year. I get asked most years, and I’ve always said no.

"The cheque is quite big. But I’ve chosen not to. It is well known that it is one of the best-paying shows in television."

Elsewhere in the podcast episode, Andi said he wants to separate his private life from his work life.

The This Morning star explained: "My job is my job. I take myself to work, I do my job, and I go home.

"I do my job because I love my job. Everything else, when I shut my front door, that’s my house.

"I remember once I did homes and gardens once. And the question was, can we shoot in the kitchen? I said, well, no, because that’s my house.

"And so I did the garden, and only the garden, and you never saw the house.

"I come from the older generation. As far as I’m concerned, you do a job because you do a job because you like a job.

"If you work at a supermarket, and you finish on the till, you go home, and that’s your life, you don’t even think about your work until you get back there.

"Everybody has a platform to voice their opinion. I will never let somebody be horrible or mean or slag me off to somebody that’s a relation of mine.

"They didn’t choose to be a relation of mine. That’s blood.

"Therefore, I do what I do. They do what they do. And the two don’t need to cross."

With one big name refusing to do I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! this year, many other stars are tipped to be taking part in the upcoming series, which begins on November 16.

Rumoured names are media personality Jack Osbourne, 39, boxer Conor Benn, 29, Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, 49, EastEnders’ Shona McGarty, 33 and 72-year-old comedienne Ruby Wax.

An ITV spokesperson has refused to be drawn on any of the names being linked with the programme.
