Dame Mary Berry has no intention of retiring.

The former Great British Bake Off judge celebrated her 90th birthday earlier this year and still has "lots of ideas" for what she plans to do next on the culinary front.

The chef - who will feature in the new series Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking later this month - told the BBC: "Being 90 and still cooking. I've still got lots of ideas.

"And the great thing is, I've still got a great team who work alongside me. We love what we do, we get together, and I'm always jotting notes in the little notebook.

"I took my granddaughter out for Sunday lunch, and we had a stuffed courgette with a ratatouille. It was beautifully presented, and I noted that down.

"I never take a picture, but it's very much in my mind and I'll talk to the team, and we'll talk about trying it a different way.

"I just want to keep doing what I love."

Mary is joined by special guests including Gabby Logan, Jamie Oliver and Alan Titchmarsh on the new BBC series and described the show as "a trip down memory lane".

She said: "I took a trip down memory lane reflecting on some of the most memorable moments of my cooking career with some of my friends new and old. It was incredibly special to film. We have clips from the archives from when I started my career and some that I've not seen for decades - and it was wonderful to see them and see how differently we cook now but also how some things have stayed the same.

"I was joined by Tom Allen, Gabby Logan, Jamie Oliver, Alex Jones, Alan Titchmarsh and Kiell Smith-Bynoe – and I cooked with them all – some new recipes, some reinvented classics.

"There were points of celebration and reflection throughout each episode - toasting champagne with Jamie Oliver with my lemon drizzle cake was a memorable moment and can you believe Alan Titchmarsh made his first ever cake and Alex Jones made my Victoria sponge with me. It’s always special watching someone re-create your recipe. It’s not all about cakes though, in each episode there are a range of recipes I create with each guest."
