Motsi Mabuse: Strictly Come Dancing contrasts massively to my daily life
Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has revealed that the glamour of being on the BBC show couldn't be more different from her daily routine back at home in Germany.

Motsi Mabuse says that Strictly Come Dancing provides a huge contrast to her daily life.
The 44-year-old star is a member of the judging panel on the BBC's Latin and Ballroom competition and explained that the glitz and glamour is a long way removed from her regular routine at home in Germany with her husband Evgenij Voznyuk and their seven-year-old daughter.
Motsi told Closer magazine: "I love doing Strictly because it's just so different from my daily life!
"I get one day in the week where I get glammed up, where I'm listened to and heard, when I get to choose beautiful outfits! It's like a short holiday.
"And then I go back to the mum life where I'm just, you know, the mum that runs errands.
"I wear tracksuit bottoms, I don't dress up! I'm doing school drops, dance school, taking my daughter to her tennis or swimming. It's an ordinary life and I'm lucky with that."
Motsi explained that she is able to keep her life in Germany quite private.
The dancer said: "Living in Germany, I can live a relatively normal life. I do the show and then disappear!
"Obviously I present the show in Germany (Let's Dance) and it's also been going 20 years and is huge. But the Germans are quite conservative, so they just leave us alone.
"We live in the forest with animals. And luckily my husband is good for my mental health! We get on so well... he's my mental health."
The latest series of Strictly Come Dancing is in full swing, although Motsi is hesitant to pick a winner at this early stage.
She said: "The celebs are a fantastic bunch this year.
"I can't wait to see how all the characters develop along the way. Everyone fell in love with Karen (Carney) with her extraordinary performance on the first show, but if Strictly has taught me one thing, it's that you can never predict who will be lifting the trophy at the beginning.
"Things can change so quickly and winners can come out of nowhere."
Motsi – whose younger sister Oti Mabuse triumphed twice on the show as a professional dancer – has featured on the Strictly judging panel since 2019 and sees herself on the Saturday night staple for many years to come.
She explained: "Strictly feels like one big family and we spend hours and hours laughing together on the judging panel. When people say to me, 'What's next?' I always think, 'Well, what on earth would be next?', because it's the best job in the world."
