Anne, Princess Royal, Miss Trunchbull and Morticia Addams inspired Claudia Winkleman's Celebrity Traitors look.

The 53-year-old star is styled by Sinead McKeefry when she hosts the BBC's ultimate game of backstabbing, deceit and betrayal, and tartan-clad Claudia wanted to look a bit like the 75-year-old royal, the fictional headmistress from the book-and-film Matilda, and the matriarch from The Addams Family TV series and movies.

Speaking at a screening of Celebrity Traitors - which airs on BBC One - Claudia said, as quoted by Britain's HELLO! magazine: "We went quite Miss Trunchbull, and Morticia, with a nod to Princess Anne, who's our favourite.

"Sinead went, 'Are we going for a bit of taffeta?'

"And I'm going to be honest, I went overboard with that."

Celebrity Traitors stars comedian Alan Carr, 49, singer-songwriter Cat Burns, 25, actress Celia Imrie, 73, and 39-year-old singer Charlotte Church.

Broadcaster Clare Balding, 54, historian David Olusoga, 55, former England rugby player Joe Marler, 35, and comedian Joe Wilkinson, 50, will also be hoping to sniff out the Traitors as a part of the Faithfuls group, or lie through their teeth as members of the Traitors gang.

Presenter Jonathan Ross, 64, broadcaster Kate Garraway, 58, comedienne Lucy Beaumont, 42, and actor Mark Bonnar, 56, are also entering Ardross Castle - the setting for the programme - located in the Scottish Highlands.

Actor Nick Mohammed, 45, content creator Niko Omilana, 27, singer-songwriter Paloma Faith, 44, and actress Ruth Codd, 29, are hoping to perform their best in the series of challenges that help put money into the prize pot.

And completing the Celebrity Traitors line-up are actor Sir Stephen Fry, 68, actress Tameka Empson, 48, and former Olympic diver Tom Daley, 31, and with their co-stars, they will work to eliminate the Traitors so that the Faithfuls can share the £100,000 prize money, which will be donated to charity.

In the debut episode of Celebrity Traitors, the celebrities wasted no time in getting competitive as their first challenge required them to dig through graves to find shields - which saved them from the first 'murder'.

And then, the stellar cast pulled an enormous Trojan horse up a hill and set it alight.

Claudia said: "They are all at the top of their game, national treasures, and we said, 'They probably won't dig, they might just turn around and go, 'No, it's alright.'

"They forgot pretty fast that they were on camera, and they were just playing a game of survival and deception."

Also in episode one, Claudia selected three traitors - Alan, Jonathan and Cat - and they were tasked with 'murdering' a player in plain sight.

Alan was responsible for rubbing his hands on a black lily that sat in the bar before touching the face of one of the victims, which marked the celebrity he wanted to leave the competition.

And in episode two, it was revealed that Alan chose Paloma.

At the end of the latest episode, the players were at the Round Table deciding who they think is a Traitor.

Kate and Niko have got the most votes so far, and the result of the banishing will be revealed on Wednesday (15.10.25) night.
