Adam Sandler has opened his You’re My Best Friend Tour with two nights that leaned heavily into comedy, music and surprise cameos.

The first show took place on 5 September in Jacksonville, Florida, where Sandler launched into Ice Ice Baby before bringing out Vanilla Ice himself to perform the full track. Sandler played bass while comedian Kevin James joined in on backing vocals, turning the moment into one of the highlights of the night.

The following evening in Tampa, Sandler delivered a sprawling 37-song set list that mixed musical comedy with more reflective moments. Among the tracks were Grandma’s on Ozempic, Mismatched Nipples and Farley, the latter a heartfelt tribute to his late friend and former Saturday Night Live colleague Chris Farley.

Vanilla Ice appeared again in Tampa for another round of Ice Ice Baby, this time joined by Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Kevin Nealon and Joseph Vecsey. Together, the group also performed Play That Funky Music, adding to the sense of unpredictability that has defined the tour so far.

One of the more unusual moments came when Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles appeared on stage, a nod to Vanilla Ice’s cameo in the 1991 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.

The tour will now continue across North America, with upcoming stops scheduled in New York City, Toronto, Chicago, Las Vegas, Washington DC and several other major cities.
