As Ozempic continues to rise in popularity, an increasing number of celebrities are sharing their experiences with the drug, some endorsing its effectiveness for weight loss, while others are speaking out about the negative side effects and potential health risks.

Originally developed to treat type 2 diabetes, Ozempic has since gained widespread attention for its use as a weight loss aid.

Here are 10 A-listers who have discussed their experiences with the drug.

Sharon Osbourne

Known for her role as a judge on 'The X Factor', Sharon Osbourne began taking Ozempic in 2022.

In an interview on the 'Howie Mandel Does Stuff' podcast, she said: "I can’t gain weight, and I don’t know what it did to my metabolism, but I just can’t gain because I think I went too far."

In a separate conversation with the Daily Mail newspaper: "I now weigh just over 44 kg. I need to gain about 4.5 kg, but no matter how much I eat, I stay the same weight."

James Corden

The comedian and actor James Corden has opened up about why he stopped using Ozempic as it didn't have the desired impact on his eating habits.

He said: "I tried it for a bit and then what I realised was I was like, 'Oh no, nothing about my eating has anything to do with being hungry’, all it does is make you feel not hungry. But I am very rarely eating [just because I am hungry]."

Lottie Moss

Lottie Moss, the half-sister of supermodel Kate Moss, has been vocal about the dangers of Ozempic after being hospitalised due to an overdose. She has since taken an active role in warning others about the potential risks associated with the drug.

Speaking on her 'Dream On' podcast, she said: “It was the worst decision I ever made, so if this is a warning to anyone, please, if you’re thinking about doing it, do not take it."

Moss also said her eyes were “almost concaving in” before being taken to the emergency room.

Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey has praised the weight loss drug, mentioning how it allowed her to live a healthier lifestyle. The chat show host explained that it made her change the way she thinks about thin people.

She said on 'The Oprah Podcast': "One of the things that I realised the very first time I took a GLP-1 was that all these years I thought that thin people had more willpower."

Meghan Trainor

'All About That Bass' singer Meghan Trainor admitted to using Ozempic after losing a substantial amount of weight over the past year.

The star wrote on Instagram in March: "No, I do not look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me. I’ve worked with a dietitian, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro) to help me after my second pregnancy. And I'm so glad I did because I feel great."

Elon Musk

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, publicly stated that he initially used Ozempic for weight loss before switching to Mounjaro, which he found to be more effective.

On Twitter, the world's richest man commented: "Nothing would do more to improve the health, lifespan and quality of life to Americans than making [GLP-1 Drugs] super low cost to the public."

Rebel Wilson

The 'Pitch Perfect' actress revealed that she achieved significant weight loss with the help of Ozempic, using the drug as a maintenance tool.

In an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper, Rebel said: "Someone like me could have a bottomless appetite for sweets, so I think those drugs can be good."

Wilson also explained that her doctor recommended Ozempic to improve her chances of successful IVF, which influenced her decision to use it.

Amy Schumer

The stand-up comedian revealed that she previously used Ozempic and lost 30 pounds, but ultimately had to stop due to harmful side effects.

Appearing on 'The Howard Stern Show', she commented: "I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like, bedridden, I was like vomiting and then you have no energy.

"I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow, so what’s the point."

Kelly Osbourne

After initially criticising the drug, reality star Kelly Osbourne has since become a vocal supporter of the trendy medication.

In a February interview with E! News, Kelly said: "The people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or p***** off.

"Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won't be because it actually works."

Tracy Morgan

The comedian and actor explained that Ozempic had little impact on his weight as he was soon able to out-eat the drug.

Appearing on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Tracey said: "I've learned to out-eat Ozempic. I gained 40 pounds."
