Ed Sheeran has released a new Tingly Ted's sauce which is 250 times hotter than his last culinary creation.
The 34-year-old singer/songwriter has unveiled XXXtra Tingly, the latest fiery creation from the hot sauce brand created by the by the global pop superstar and launched in 2023.
A year in the making, XXXtra Tingly has a serious heat hit as it is 250 times hotter than its red jalapeno predecessor, thanks to the ferociously spicy Carolina Reaper, one of the world’s hottest peppers at 2 million Scoville units.
Ed maybe be busy working on his new album, but he decided to come up with a red hot new recipe after listening to the wishes of his customers and fans who asked for more spice.
The 'Shape of You' hitmaker said: "We’ve heard our Tingly Ted’s fans loud and clear - they wanted more heat, more excitement, more thrill. With XXXtra Tingly, we’ve unlocked a whole new level of flavour and fire that’s going to take people on a wild ride. Whether you're into a little tingle or a full-blown heat high, Tingly Ted’s has got a sauce for you."
Just as he is passionate about making music, Sheeran is equally as passionate about spicy food. He famously showcased his heat tolerance on Sean Evans’ Hot Ones in 2021 and even keeps a dedicated hot sauce cupboard at home - strictly separate from the milder options, per his wife Cherry’s request.
The Tingly Ted's range made its debut on supermarket shelves in February 2023, with the collection of hot sauces the result of nearly two years of meticulous crafting by Ed and his band of sauce experts.
Ed named his sauce range Tingly's Ted's after his childhood nickname.
XXXtra Tingly will be available exclusively from Sainsbury’s for 3 weeks only and Ocado while stocks last from 26 March. RRP £3.00.
Ed recently revealed to Varity magazine that his eighth studio album will be coming out in 2025 and is set to be a big pop record
During a recent interview with Variety, Ed stated he had recorded the album and filmed two music videos, with a further two music videos anticipated as well.
He said: "It feels like I’m getting back into big pop for the first time in a long time.
