Molly-Mae Hague is "figuring things out" with her ex-boyfriend Tommy Fury after a family holiday in Dubai.

The former 'Love Island' star, 25, split from the boxer, also 25, last year over his issues with alcohol but they have been spending time together and recently jetted off for a sunshine break with their daughter Bambi - and Molly-Mae has confessed they had an "amazing time".

In a video posted on YouTube, Molly-Mae explained: "I don't want you guys to think I'm not being honest about who went on the holiday to Dubai. I did do a big talking section that we were going with Tommy but I didn't want to put it in the last vlog because I didn't want anxiety.

"The only reason I've not spoken about it is I'm not ready to. I don't know if I'm ready to talk about it, I was a bit nervous and I didn't need to explain that I was going with Tommy.

"It's obviously not a secret we're just figuring things out. We had a really really amazing time, probably the best holiday ever for all of us."

She went on to admit she's not feeling ready to talk about the details, but she wants fans to know the former couple is "trying to work on" their relationship.

Molly-Mae went on to say: "It's not that I'm hiding it, I'm not quite ready to talk about it. It's also private, but also it's not really private.

"When you have a relationship in the public eye, trying to rebuild that relationship or work on that relationship or see if you have something worth saving ...

"You can't figure things out the way a normal relationship would. You can't do the normal things a coupe trying to work on their relationship normally do like going on walks or getting coffee.

"We're just figuring things out and seeing how it goes."

Before the holiday, Molly-Mae filmed a video for fans telling them how much she needed some "nice time off".

In the clip, she said: "I'm going on holiday to Dubai with Bambi and we are going for a little holiday. I feel like I'm going to have some nice time off. It's needed this trip.

"I'll still post a bit though. I am very much a home girl, I'm very content at home but recently I've been craving a getaway and feel like I need to escape.

"I'm all packed for holiday, I'm so excited, I haven't been this excited for a trip in a long time, my bones need it."

The social media star - who rose to fame and met Tommy on ITV dating show 'Love Island' - previously opened up about her former fiance's problems with booze in her Prime Video reality show 'Behind It All' revealing it tore their romance apart.

During an onscreen conversation with her mother Debbie, Molly-Mae explained: "He's never had an alcohol problem, but alcohol caused problems for us. It got to a point where I wasn't looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much."

She also revealed the former couple clashed over Tommy's drinking at her sister Zoe's wedding, saying: "At my sister's wedding I pleaded with Tommy, like I begged him to not drink and it's just really sad. I don't know why I'm crying now, it's just so sad but it affected me and that's why my relationship with alcohol is so damaged.

"I just know that isn't who he wants to be, he doesn't want this."

Tommy previously went public with his struggle in a candid interview with Men's Health magazine explaining he started drinking too much amid fears an injury was going to end his boxing career.

He told the publication: "The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.

"It kills me to say it, [but] it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. "People go through different things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear."
