Micah Richards has 'turned down a lot' of TV offers
'A League of Their Own' and 'Match of the Day' star Micah Richards has rejected a lot of offers for other TV projects.
Micah Richards has "turned down a lot" of offers for shows like 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 36-year-old retired star - known for his appearances as a pundit on 'Match of the Day' and panelist on 'A League of Their Own' - insisted he wants to be "respectable", but he won't rule out other projects in the future.
Asked if he'd be tempted by 'Strictly' or 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', he told the Metro newspaper's 60 Seconds column: "I've turned down a lot.
"You've got to be careful. If you want to be a respectable pundit, there are only certain things you can do.
"I never want to write off anything."
The former Manchester City and Arsenal footballer insisted despite being a huge fan of 'The Traitors', he has no plans of joining the celebrity version.
He added: "I love 'The Traitors'. I watched it from when it first started. But no, I won't be going on."
However, Micah did leave the door open for a potential move into acting one day, although he wouldn't want to be "disrespectful" to actual actors by thinking he could do it at a high level.
He explained: "I would never say no. I've said no to a lot of things in the past and then ended up doing then.
"I think it's a bit disrespectful to actors and movie stars - I can't just switch up my role and think, 'I'm going to be an amazing actor.' But would I love to do it in the future? Why not?"
And while Micah has no desire to play a superhero or be the next James Bond - he insisted the latter is as unlikely as him replacing Gary Lineker as the next 'MOTD' presenter - he does have some parts in mind.
He said: "I can assure you I don't want to be the next Bond. But some sort of comedy or something light-hearted."
