HBO Harry Potter series launches casting call to find next Harry, Hermione and Ron
An open casting call has been launched by HBO to find the next Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley for the new 'Harry Potter' TV series. Applicants must be between the ages of nine and 11 in April 2025 and be residents of the UK or Ireland.
An open casting call has been launched by HBO to find the next Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley for the new 'Harry Potter' TV series.
To be eligible for the roles of Harry, Ron or Hermione, children must be between the ages of nine and 11 in April 2025 and be residents of the UK or Ireland.
Parents and legal guardians are able to submit applications on behalf of their children via the website app.castittalent.com/HPcasting and that is the only way to be considered for casting.
A statement released by HBO about the casting read: "Open casting call for children to play the roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley in the upcoming HBO Original series adaptation of 'Harry Potter'.
"If your child would like to be considered, please head to app.castittalent.com/HPcasting for more information on how to apply.
"We are currently only able to consider children who are aged 9-11 in April 2025, and a resident of the UK or Ireland.
"Please note that the Cast It website is the only way to apply for this open casting call.
"Applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian."
Additional information states that "for every role, please submit qualified performers, without regard to ethnicity, disability, race, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other basis protected by law unless otherwise specifically indicated".
