Fake heiress turned celebrity Anna Delvey is set to compete on 'Dancing with the Stars'.

In 2017, Delvey - whose real name is Anna Sorokin - was charged with two counts of attempted grand larceny in the first degree, three counts of grand larceny in the second degree, and one count of grand larceny in the third degree for stealing more than $250,000 from businesses, banks and friends while posing as a fake wealthy German heiress.

Anna - who is originally from Russia - was jailed in 2019 for her crimes and since 2022 she has been under house arrest patiently waiting to find out if she’d be allowed to stay in the US after completing her sentence.

Her house arrest terms were recently eased, allowing her to work and travel freely within a 70-mile radius of her home as well as being given a Social Security number, clearing the way for potential TV stardom.

According to the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column, Anna will be part of the line-up for the 2024 season of the ballroom and Latin talent show and has already rehearsals.

Anna will not be the first celebrity on 'Dancing with the Stars' to have served time behind bars.

'DWTS' alumni who have been to jail include Tommy Chong, Lil' Kim and Steve O.

Anna's crimes came to mass public attention thanks to the Netflix drama series 'Inventing Anna' - which starred 'Ozark' actress Julia Garner as Delvey.
