The Who rocker made an appearance on the Swedish star's recent 'Born to be Wild' album and has reflected on how the pair were left in hysterics when they reminisced about the guitarist’s attempts to seduce her on the set of the film 'Tommy' which they both appeared in.

Pete told Record Collector magazine: "We ended up laughing about the fact that one day on the 'Tommy' set, Eric Clapton was banging at her door trying to get in, in the middle of the night.

"He was very drunk and woke everybody up. We all come out of our rooms in this little Holiday Inn by the seaside, where we were shooting part of the movie, to see what was going on.

"Ann-Margret opened the door and came out, looking f****** spectacularly sexy, and said, 'What do you want, Eric?'

"I can't remember exactly what he said, but he looked at me sheepishly and it was something like, 'A cup of sugar?'"
