Victoria Beckham is tearful as her son Cruz prepares to move to Los Angeles.

The 50-year-old designer is supportive of Cruz, 19 - who is signed to US talent agency C3 Management - pursuing his dream to become a musician but she is sad that he is moving from London to the west coast of America to do so.

A source told heat magazine: "Cruz has been spending more and more time in LA. He's loving it so much that he's told his parents he wants to move there full-time. He's desperate to make it as a singer and feels he has to be in Hollywood to make that happen.

"Victoria hates the fact all her kids are leaving and it's just her, David and Harper - it feels very strange for her. She always knew this day would come but she was hoping the kids would be close by or at the very least in the same country so there have been a lot of tears."

Although Cruz's older brother Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham and his wife Nicola live in LA, Victoria and David, 49, being so far away.

The insider said: "Brooklyn and Nicola live there but they can't keep an eye on Cruz all the time. They want him to wait at least another year, so he can be sure it's what he really wants but Cruz is 19 and can do what he wants.

"Both David and Victoria want their kids to be happy and are very encouraging but they know he will be under a lot more scrutiny and criticism and they to protect him as long as possible."

However, they understand his ambition as they have both moved countries for their careers previously.

The insider said: "David and Victoria have moved all over the world for their careers. The whole family were very happy living in LA when David played there, so they understand the appeal for Cruz. They just want him to be sure this is what he really wants and that there are people there to protect him."
