The 62-year-old broadcaster split from singer Ben Ofoedu, 52, in 2023 after 16 years together when it emerged that he had been unfaithful with a string of different women and she recently went out with someone for the first time since.
Speaking on the 'Suddenly Single' vodcast, she said: " I felt really nervous – like I had to be on my best behaviour but I wasn’t sure what that was! You want to be attractive but you don’t want your bosoms hanging out on the table It’s hard not to feel a bit diminished. You don’t feel attractive, you don’t feel what you said is funny. And you don’t feel wanted."
But the former 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant - who is known for making appearances on 'This Morning' and 'The Wright Stuff' - mused that she may be lacking success in the world of dating because of how well known she is, although joked that her level of fame is nothing compared to a Hollywood star.
She said: "They might think it would involve a constant stream of paparazzi. Of course it’s nothing like that at all. I’m not Angelina Jolie."
Despite her setbacks, the former 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemate has previously insisted that she will not give up on the idea of finding love again.
Asked if she ever felt tempted to give up on love, she told Metro newspaper's Sixty Seconds column: "Oh my God, no. I wish to move on. I'm not saying whether I have or haven't, but I definitely want to. I'm not tempted to give up anything while I'm alive - not work, love, fun, excitement, adventure or affection."
