Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson want credit for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship.
The sports commentators encouraged the 'Karma' hitmaker to date the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on their podcast last summer and months later, the pair made their romance public, so the two stars feel "responsible".
Appearing on 'The Tonight Show', host Jimmy Fallon noted: “That was you who did that."
Charissa joked: "Yes, Jimmy, we are responsible for that."
Erin agreed: “We are.”
Charissa then quipped: “You’re welcome, America.
“We’ll take the credit. We just love both of them and I’m so happy to see them happy.”
Jimmy added: “As a country, we’re thanking our servicemen and women, but we really have to thank you for what you’ve done for all of us. You brought us Taylor and Travis.”
The 'Calm Down' hosts had urged Taylor to "try" dating Travis on an episode of their podcast last August.
Erin said at the time: “Please, try our friend Travis. He is fantastic.
“I know we’re not the best of friends, we’re not even friends, but I consider you one. Take us up on this. Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America."
Months after the pair went public with their romance, Charissa drew attention to the podcast comments.
Tagging Travis and Taylor in an Instagram post, she wrote: "Just saying … @erinandrews + I recorded this episode back on August 3rd."
Sharing two cry-laughing emojis, Travis commented: "You two are something else!! I owe you big time!!”
But Erin and Charissa aren't the only people wanting credit for Travis and Taylor's relationship as Patrick Mahomes has claimed he played "matchmaker" for his teammate and the pop superstar.
During an appearance on 'The Pat McAfee Show', Patrick shared: "I like to take some of the credit because I was the one who invited Travis to his first Taylor concert.
"He was sitting in my suite, so I feel like I was the matchmaker. I had some input in there as well, I was like, dude, just go for it, just go for it and you know Travis man, he does it.
"He’s a great dude and I’m glad it’s all worked out for the best."
