Simu Liu "blacked out" during the performance of 'I'm Just Ken' at the Oscars.

The 34-year-old actor played one of the Kens in Greta Gerwig's summer smash hit 'Barbie' and during a performance of the hit track from the movie alongside Ryan Gosling and his other male co-stars at the 96th Academy Awards on Sunday (10.03.24) and admitted that he couldn't remember a thing about the moment but thinks it was the perfect way to wrap up the film's success.

He told Access Hollywood: "I blanked, I blacked out, I don’t have a whole lot of memory of it. What an incredible way to send off this beautiful movie and this moment in pop culture, I’m very happy."

Ryan - who lost out the Best Supporting Actor award to Robert Downey Jr for his role in 'Oppenheimer' - began his performance on from his seat in Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre, where his 'Barbie' co-star Margot Robbie, seated in front of him, couldn't control her laughter.

Ryan - dressed in a bright pink suit and sunglasses - then walked up to the stage, joined by writer Mark Ronson on guitar and was backed by dozens of male dancers during the song, including some of his co-stars such as Ncuti Gatwa, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans and Simu Liu, before the Guns N' Roses guitarist appeared to play on the second half of the track.

Towards the end, Ryan wandered over to the star-studded crowd and sang along with his co-stars before holding the mic out to the likes of Emma Stone to sing along.
