Champion speed skater Elise Christie hung up her skates and swapped competitive sport for stripping off on OnlyFans - and she's now making more money than she ever did as an athlete
Olympic speed skater Elise Christie has swapped competitive sport for stripping off on OnlyFans.
The former world champion competed in three Winter Olympics before retiring from the sport in 2021 after an injury prevented her from qualifying for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, and she suffered numerous personal issues including a battle with alcoholism after hanging up her skates.
Elise has admitted she left the sport "with nothing" and she joined OnlyFans in a bid to make some extra cash, but she's now revealed she's making a decent living from her saucy content. She told The Sun newspaper: "Now I make more from OnlyFans than what I made when I was working three jobs."
She also defended her decision to strip off online, adding: "It’s my body, I worked for this body, I didn’t just get given it.
"So the way I see it is that I’m making money out of what I worked for. You’re in control of what you do and how far you want to go.
"It took me a while to get braver with the stuff I was doing and open up about it. It was scary the first time. Now I’m in a place where I’m not worried."
However, the only aspect Elise doesn't like is having to have a social media presence because she doesn't want to have to read any negative comments.
She went on to say: "It’s only the social media stuff I find a bit difficult. I’ve found taking a step away from social media is good for me. So I promote it but I’m not reading comments and thinking about what everybody is saying."
