Imran Khan appears to have teased his Bollywood comeback.
The ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na’ star, 40, quit acting years ago, but on Thursday (10,08.23) got fans excited by cryptically telling fans he was “working on it”.
He shared a screenshot on his Instagram of a post he wrote on Threads that said: “To whom it may concern; I hear you. And I’m working on it. Thank you for being so patient with me.”
Fans flooded the comments section of his post with their wishes for sequels, with droves of them saying they wanted him to make ‘Luck 2’.
Another said about their desire for other sequels: “‘Jaane Tu – 2’, ‘I hate luv stories – 2’, ‘Break ke baad – 2’ pleaseeeeeeee.”
Yet another said: “Please give us another romcom.”
America-born Imran made his adult acting debut in 2008 with the coming-of-age romantic comedy ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na’, which was a critical and commercial success.
His performance in the film won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
After the failure of his next two films, he was written off by some brutal reviewers who branded him a “one-film wonder”.
He went on to star in a string of commercially successful films including ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, ‘Delhi Belly’, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’, which was his last hit.
It was followed by a series of box-office flops, and aside from acting
Imran has written columns for the Hindustan Times.
He is a supporter of PETA, having appeared in events organised for the group.
Imran married Avantika Malik in January 2011, after a 10 -year relationship, with whom he has eight-year-old daughter Imara.
