Jennifer Coolidge lived with her 'American Pie' co-star Eddie Kaye Thomas - with the two on-screen lovers setting up home together.

The 61-year-old star's role as Stifler's Mom in the raunchy 1999 comedy launched the term 'MILF' into prominence, and she has now spilled that she actually shared a house with Eddie - whose character Finch had sex with her in the movie - for a year or two in the early 2000s.

Despite their on-screen liaison, Jennifer is adamant that their arrangement was strictly platonic.

Speaking to British GQ magazine, she laughed: "I wasn’t the love of his life.

"He had girlfriends. My bedroom was across the hallway from his.”

Jennifer also revealed that the chance to meet new people is a big motivation when it comes to taking on roles at this stage of her career, because she is actively looking for romance.

She said: "I’m single.

“My way of talking myself into a different job is like, well, it could be romance, or it could be, you know, a whole different group of friends. Cool things could come out of it.”

The actress admitted she is still "very immature", and suggested that might be why she never ended up having children.

She pondered: “I’m very, very immature. I think that has kept me from having children because I’m sort of a child.

"Maybe if I had kids, I would’ve had to have grown up. I’ve never had, like, a laid-back boyfriend that was just full of joy, you know?

“Like, someone who laughs at all your shortcomings. That’s never who I choose for myself.”

Despite not finding an appropriate potential partner, Jennifer recently admitted she is feeling "so alive", particularly after her career resurgence with her role in 'The White Lotus'.

She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "You go through life, and you sort of just assume you’re used to going a certain way, and you just take on whatever that baggage is and that it’s never going to change.

“My life was changed overnight, and I could not be more grateful.”
