BOLLYWOOD Ila Arun's daughter thinks actress is unappreciated
Ila Arun's daughter has urged directors to "appreciate" her mother's talent while they still can.

Ila Arun's daughter has urged directors to "appreciate" her mother's talent.
Ishitta Arun doesn't think Bollywood has been fair to the 69-year-old actress over the years and believes filmmakers have failed to properly utilise her skills over the years.
The 'Scoop' actress told DNA of her mother: “In the late 80s and 90s, she was into folk music and avoided being a part of any lobby. Saawli, lambe baal… and there were many other actresses of her age due to which she wasn’t getting the offers...
"She’s there give her the work. Appreciate her for the person and talent she is.”
But Ishitta acknowledged Ila is getting more work now, though she thinks she's been punished in the past for not having "played the game".
She said: “My mother is now receiving roles with which she can prove her acting talent. Ma is an excellent writer and has a strong command of Hindi and Urdu. She is responsible for my fluency in languages.
"But talking about the actor part… it started with Shyam (Benegal) uncle. He is dearest to all of us, and I make jokes that mummy has always played a prostitute, servant, or weaver. I don’t think she has ever played the game...
“There is a lot of good work. She’s doing one film after the other..."
