Paris Hilton says she has "been violated" for her "entire life".

The reality star, hotel heiress and pop culture icon was known all over the world for her dumb blonde persona during her time starring in reality TV show 'The Simple Life' with best friend Nicole Richie and as a Noughties party girl.

But Paris insists it was all just an act to protect her from trauma in her past.

Speaking to The Independent, she said: "I was in so much pain that I created this Barbie doll fantasy life.

“It was a character I put on as a mask to protect myself.”

The 42-year-old socialite recently released her book, ‘Paris: The Memoir’, which sheds light on her horrific teen experiences and details how she was drugged and raped at 15, and groomed by a teacher as well as other incidents of sexual abuse.

The ‘Stars are Blind’ hitmaker would often put on a “raspy and alluring” voice as pretending to be someone else gave her freedom.

She added “My family always wanted me to be very proper and conventional.

“But I didn’t want to be known as the Hilton Hotel granddaughter. I wanted to be known as someone else.”

In the early 2000s, the ‘House of Wax’ actress made headlines after a sex tape of her and her boyfriend at the time Rick Salomon was leaked online.

Paris claims she was coerced into making the tape and took Quaaludes and drank alcohol in order to lower her inhibitions.

In 2020, Pairs released an official documentary where she shared her survivor story of the harrowing abuse she endured as a teenager while attending the Utah Provo Canyon boarding school.

Speaking out about her mission to reclaim her narrative, she said: “I’ve been violated my whole life.

“My privacy has been violated. Those schools... I don’t like calling them schools, but they stole my childhood. It’s been extremely difficult and heart-breaking.”
