I Want Your Sex actor Cooper Hoffman admits one intimate scene in the film actually "felt tragic" to work on.

The 22-year-old actor shared an intimate scene with co-stars Chase Sui Wonders, 29, and Olivia Wilde, 41, with the latter playing a dom BDSM artist who invites her sub assistant for a threesome and tells him to bring a hot friend, which leads to him bringing his best friend and roommate.
Hoffman told Deadline: "I think it felt much more serious on the day of, than it actually is."
And Wonders agreed: "It felt really sad. It felt tragic. Also, was that our second day of filming? … So, it was like right into the deep end.”
Despite some comedy in the scene, there is still an emotional punch, and Hoffman praised his co-star Wonders for maintaining that despite the bizarre situation.
He said: “By the way, not only did Chase not break, This motherfucker cried… cried with a dildo on her chest! Are you out of your mind? It’s actually incredible.”
The two actors are joined in the film by Mason Gooding, whose outrageously provocative character is actually the only one not to have a sex scene.
He said: "I loved hearing stories about their filming experience and how different it was from mine, that I just would say off-the-wall shit, and then put on my sweater and go home.
"But watching those scenes from an audience perspective … it’s funny that the movie has these set-pieces of dildos on chests and sex galore, but the heartfelt nature of what it means to try your best to connect with another person, and whether or not you succeed in that, to me feels indicative of classic rom-com movies.
"The sentiment and the heart and the genuine nature are there, it’s just told in a sardonic package, but we found our footing."
Meanwhile, Hoffman "couldn't have felt more comfortable" during the intimate scenes, as he praised co-writer and director Gregg Araki and intimacy coordinator Yehuda Duenyas for helping everyone put "their guard down a little bit".
Reflecting on the shoot, Wonders said: "Cooper’s in skimpy lingerie, Olivia’s wearing floss.”
Hooper quipped: "And no one batted an eye. We're all having normal-a** conversations, like, 'Olivia, what are you getting for dinner tonight?' "
