Zendaya and Robert Pattinson set to star together in The Drama
Adding to the stars’ packed schedules for the next year, Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are set to star together in The Drama.

Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are set to star together in The Drama.
The actress, 29, and the 39-year-old Batman star’s romantic comedy from A24 will be released in North America on 3 April, it was announced on Friday. (17.10.25)
Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the film marks his fourth feature and second collaboration with A24, following the surreal black comedy Dream Scenario in 2023.
That film, a satire starring Nicolas Cage, received strong reviews at its Toronto International Film Festival premiere and earned Cage a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a motion picture comedy or musical.
A24 has yet to reveal full details of The Drama’s storyline, but it is understood to follow a couple whose relationship faces unexpected challenges ahead of their wedding day.
Alongside Zendaya and Pattinson, the cast includes Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Gates.
The film is produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen through their production company Square Peg, alongside Kristoffer and Tyler Campellone under Dilemma Films, in partnership with A24.
Square Peg and A24 have become regular collaborators, with previous joint projects including Dream Scenario, Death of a Unicorn and all four of Aster’s directed features – Hereditary, Midsommar, Beau Is Afraid and Eddington.
Speaking about the film, Kristoffer said: “It’s a story about the absurd expectations people have of themselves and each other when love, performance and fear collide.”
He added: “Zendaya and Robert bring something disarmingly honest and funny to that tension.”
Producers Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen said in a joint statement through A24: “Kristoffer has a unique ability to turn discomfort into comedy and heartbreak into connection. We’re thrilled to help bring his vision for The Drama to life with this cast.”
Zendaya and Robert will also appear together next year in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, an ensemble film that features Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o and Charlize Theron.
Both actors have a busy year ahead thanks to other commitments.
Zendaya will reprise her role as Chani in Dune: Part Three and return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as well as to HBO for the third season of Euphoria.
Robert is set to star opposite Jennifer Lawrence in Mubi’s release of Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love, and will appear in Lance Oppenheim’s narrative feature debut Primetime, which recently wrapped production under A24.
The Drama is set to open nationwide in the U.S. from 3 April.
