‘It’s very rewarding’: Fantastic Four star Joseph Quinn reflects on Avengers: Doomsday casting
'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' star Joseph Quinn finds it "very rewarding" to be included in the cast of 'Avengers: Doomsday'.

Joseph Quinn finds it "very rewarding" to be included in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.
The 31-year-old actor will portray Johnny Storm/Human Torch in the 2026 blockbuster after making his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut in the upcoming ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, and Quinn has now reflected on securing a part in such a major movie.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: "It’s very rewarding. It’s very relieving that they want us back for ‘Avengers’.
"We had a great time making ‘Fantastic Four’ and we’ve still got a little bit to do on it - they’re a wonderful gang of brilliant, wonderful actors. And we all really mucked in and created a family environment."
Quinn - who was announced to be a part of the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ cast alongside his ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ co-stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby and Ebon Moss-Bachrach - added he was relieved his involvement in the movie no longer had to be kept secret.
He reflected: "Well you never know, because we’re new to the MCU world … So it’s nice that they want to have us back - it’s not like we’ve totally burnt it to the ground!”
‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ will follow the titular team as they try to balance their superhero responsibilities and their familial bond, all while defending Earth from Galactus and the Silver Surfer.
Recently, Paul Walter Hauser - whose role in the movie has not yet been revealed - teased ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ would be the start of "a new tide of successful storytelling" in the MCU.
He told TheDirect: "So I think our movie, ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’, to me, only speaking from my opinion, everything I witnessed and took part in, everything I felt while in the presence of the creatives on the film, I believe we are the Marvel movie of the year. I believe we are the one to watch."
The ‘Black Bird’ star teased the movie would "hit" and compared it to previous successful Marvel films like ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Black Panther’.
He said: "I believe that this will go down in history as one of the ones that started a new tide of successful storytelling for the company. Sort of in the same way the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Black Panther’ hit. They both hit in a certain way. I believe we are about to hit."
Even so, Hauser stressed that no director or studio has "hit the mark every time" with their projects following some disappointing box-office returns for the superhero behemoth in recent years.
He explained: "Let's remember that Marvel is servicing a lot of folks, and they want to make a lot of entertainment for people to enjoy, and none of us are 100 per cent.
"None of us hit the mark every time. Not a single one of us. Your favourite director has made a less-than-satisfactory movie. Just facts."
