Bad Bunny is starring in 'Happy Gilmore 2'.

The 30-year-old rapper has landed another acting role in the upcoming sequel to Adam Sandler's 1996 sports movie that is currently in production at Netflix.

The Puerto Rican star has previously featured opposite Brad Pitt in the film 'Bullet Train' and is also set to appear in the crime thriller 'Caught Stealing' with Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz.

Plot details on the sequel have not been revealed but the original film told the story of unsuccessful ice hockey player Happy Gilmore (Sandler) who discovers he has a talent for golf and becomes a sensation when he joins the tour.

Kyle Newacheck is directing the film while Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald are reprising their parts as Gilmore's love interest Virginia Venit and golfing rival Shooter McGavin respectively.

Production on the movie started on Monday (09.09.24), with Sandler posting on Instagram with the caption: "It ain't over. The way I see it... we've only just begun."

Adam explained that he and his team have been hard at work to make a worthy sequel to the hit sports flick.

He told 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' last month: "It’s good. We worked hard on the script. We didn’t want to let anybody down. People have been asking me for a long time, ‘Do Happy Gilmore 2.’ And I was always like, ‘Nah, I’ll only let you down.’

"We’re really excited about it … We wrote our a**** off. We’re continuing to try to make it a movie that I think you’ll like."

NFL star – and Taylor Swift's boyfriend – Travis Kelce is set to make a cameo appearance and Sandler confirmed that he has "a nice something" in the pipeline for the Kansas City Chiefs player.

The 58-year-old star said: "We have a nice something for Travis. He’s gonna come by.

"He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny."
