Sarah Jessica Parker "never" wears any of the clothes she took home from the set of Sex and The City.

The 61-year-old actress played journalist Carrie Bradshaw in 94 episodes of Sex and The City as well as two movies and three seasons of spin-off series And Just Like That ... - and Sarah kept a lot of Carrie's costumes as an "archive" but she will never wear them again because the pieces aren't "applicable" to her real life.

Sarah told PEOPLE: "No, I don’t wear any of the wardrobe that I wore on the show ever. I have it. It’s an archive, but I never wear it. I never have."

The actress added that a lot of the pieces are precious because there's "only one of them" or they were worn for special moments onscreen, but she won't be seen in them again.

She added: "There’s a huge separation between myself and Carrie Bradshaw. So it would be like walking around in [Hocus Pocus character] Sarah Sanderson’s costume. It doesn’t seem applicable to my life."

It comes after Sarah's former Sex and The City co-star Cynthia Nixon - who played Miranda Hobbes - revealed she also kept a lot of the character's clothes and they make up around "a third" of her closet.

Speaking to reporters on the red carpet at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards in September, Cynthia revealed: "You know, they let us have anything that we wan."

She explained that "maybe a third" of her current wardrobe is made up of Miranda's clothes, adding: "It’s great".

Sarah previously revealed she kept more than just clothes and accessories from her time on Sex and The City - she has a storage unit packed with mementos and even kept some of the furniture from the set.

She told Vogue magazine: "I had all of the original stuff in my own storage. Furniture, clothes, everything, packed according to season and episode and scene. I kept every single solitary thing ...
