Apple Martin has handed her first campaign for Chloe.

The 21-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin is fronting the French fashion house's new campaign, which is meant to invoke "barefoot reveries suspended in an endless summer afternoon".

Creative director Chemena Kamali told WWD in a statement: "This year, Chloé à la Plage is an ode to a surreal summer fantasy.

“It’s about that dreamlike state and the poetry of summer. Apple, with her radiance and timeless beauty, draws us into this feeling in the most natural way.”

For the campaign, which was shot by photographer David Sims, she posed on an imaginary shoreline with shells growing to "Birth of Venus" proportions, and standing up in the sand.

The project follows campaigns for the likes of Self-Portrait and GapStudio.

Meanwhile, Apple previously revealed she has been taking fashion inspiration from her famous mother.

She told Vogue magazine: "She’s such a badass when it comes to fashion and has just done what she wants and doesn’t really care.

“I feel like I’m finally getting to the place where I don’t really care what people think. She influenced me.”

Goop founder Gwyneth recalled now she "started saving clothes" for her daughter around 15 or 20 years "before she was born".

She explained: "I don’t just see a top, I’ll see a moment in my life and all the circumstances surrounding it.

"I’ve always saved everything in hopes that I had a daughter one day who would want to go in there.”

The effort and thoughtfulness has all paid off, now Apple has found an interest for fashion.

The Iron Man actress added: "Sometimes we just play dress up and she’ll put on my Oscar dresses and stuff like that. We have fun down there."

Gwyneth - who also has son Moses, 20, with her Coldplay singer ex - is glad her daughter has developed her own style.

She added to Vogue: "I've just watched her style develop and evolve, she's got a very strong sense of personal style.

"She knows how much I love her for exactly who she is. The best advice would just be to unabashedly be herself."
