Kylie Minogue has "told a story" with each of her fragrances.

The 57-year-old pop icon launched her first perfume Darling in 2006, and almost 20 years later, she has explained that her latest offerings - a duo named Lovers Fleur and Lovers Noir as a nod to her hit single All The Lovers and indeed the name for her fanbase - correlate with her music and life at present.

She told Britain's Hello! Magazine: "Each fragrance has told a story. To me, both fragrances are confident, with a warmth and hedonism to them. I feel like that is like a lot of my music of late, and I love diving into these tunes and feelings and sharing those with audiences. I feel they are very in tune with my life right now."

The Spinning Around legend has collaborated with master perfumer Ilias Ermenidis over the years to design her fragrances, and explained that he has helped her with the "narrative" of her latest venture as well.

She said: "Over the years, he has come to know me and the scents that I absolutely adore, and he has distilled that into the Lovers narrative with a masterful touch."

Meanwhile, Kylie - who was famously diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 but was declared cancer-free the following year - recalled growing up in her native Australia where she was "all about maxing out that tan" but now "prioritises" the protection of her skin in the hot weather.

She said: "When I was a kid growing up in Australia, sun protection was just becoming something we were paying attention to. "Through some of my teenage years, I have to confess, I detoured around that and was all about maxing out that tan. But into my 20s, I became very sun-aware and now do my best to make sun protection a priority."

When it comes to achieving her smooth complexion, the Padam Padam songstress has three things in her beauty routine.

She said: "Three things that can usually get me out of a tight fix start with a colour lipstick or creme blush that can go anywhere I want for a little flush of colour on my face.

"[Moisturiser] can be patted on the points that I thnk could use a little sheen, like cheekbones, and can be lightly applied to hair to de-frizz."
