Ariana Grande has teased that new music is on the way.
The 31-year-old pop singer has released seven studio albums over the course of her career and even though she has been focusing on her starring role in 'Wicked, she has revealed that a deluxe version of her 2024 record 'Eternal Sunshine' is "in the can".
She told Variety: "It's in the can. The next step is... It means it must come out."
But the 'Into You' hitmaker remained coy about the details and jokingly referenced the fictional clinic in the 2004 film 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' as she admitted that she "cannot remember" everything about the upcoming album.
She said: "They did the Brighter Days Memory Erasure treatment to me so I'm having trouble remembering the details.
"They're foggy, because at the Brighter Days Clinic, they do the Memory Erasure. I'll have to go back to the clinic and see if they can restore my memory.."
Ariana was then asked if the deluxe version of her album was coming any time "soon" but couldn't answer and only told fans that they would have to keep their "eyes peeled" to be aware of her new music.
She said: "So you have to learn the language of my fans because soon means 10 days or less. I’m not allowed to use that word at this moment.
"I’m not going to use that word today. I’ll say that. Just keep your eyes peeled... That's all I'm saying."
Ariana started up a pop career after starring in the musical Nickelodeon series 'Victiorus' in her late teens but following her star turn in 'Wicked', recently admitted that she would like to shift her focus to theatre instead.
Speaking on the 'Las Culturistas' podcast, she said: "It is in my heart.
"I’m gonna say something so scary — it’s gonna scare the absolute s--- out of my fans and everyone, but I love them, and they’ll deal, and we’ll be here forever. I’m always going to make music, I’m always going to go on stage, I’m always going to do pop stuff, I pinky promise. But I don’t think doing it at the rate I’ve been doing it for the past 10 years is where I see the next 10 years."
