Rapper Kodak Black has been arrested for the second time in just two weeks.

The 28-year-old musician, real name Bill Kapri, was arrested on suspicion of resisting an officer/obstruct without violence and attempting to flee law enforcement on Thursday.

He was booked in at Broward Couty Jail, Florida, with both charges listed as pending trial in documents from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, according to People, who viewed the paperwork.

His bond was set at $0.

Following the arrest, Kapri’s attorney Bradford Cohen claimed in a statement to TMZ that the rapper was being “targeted”.

He said: “This is a self surrender from yet another 'investigation' that just happened to also take 5 months to 'investigate' for allegedly fleeing and alluding.

“It's not unexpected, as this is usually the procedure we go through where there is an unfounded weak arrest and then followed up by yet another arrest for cases that allegedly take 5 or 6 months to investigate.

“At this point I think everyone agrees that Kodak is consistently being targeted."

Kapri was previously arrested on May 6 on a felony charge of trafficking the drug MDMA, following an incident in Orlando last November.

At the time, police officers responded to reports of gunfire outside of charity organisation Children’s Safety Village.

According to the arrest warrant, it was when police arrived to investigate that an officer said they smelled marijuana coming from one of the cars.

As they searched the vehicle, Kapri is said to have approached the officers.

In an affidavit, officers said they found a pair of pink scissors, a ring and a gun - all of which match Kapri’s possessions seen in pictures on his Instagram page in recent weeks.

They also allegedly found drugs in the car, at which point Kapri was arrested.

The rapper appeared in court on 7th May, and pleaded not guilty, also asking for a jury trial.

The judge set his bond at £56,000 ($75,000), due to Kapri’s criminal record of 12 felony convictions, two misdemeanour convictions and a failure to appear.

According to local news, Kapri later paid the bond.
