Tulisa Contostavlos "cried like a baby" after giving up smoking.

The former N-Dubz singer decided to quit cigarettes earlier this year and while she is proud of her progress, she has had a "rough" time with the impact of withdrawing from nicotine, though she is getting "stronger every day".

She wrote on Instagram: "Today marks 6 weeks without cigarettes 1 month nicotine free! Still on a 0 nicotine vape till withdrawals ease. Huge thanks to @allencarrseasyway for their home 1 on 1 session + continued support. Big shout to Bradley at @oyce_oneyoucheshireeast

"My physical withdrawals have been particularly rough but I’ve always been hyper sensitive so I wouldn’t really expect anything less cold turkey.

I cried like a baby the first few weeks, but I’ve given myself grace + stayed focused on exercise _ self care. Feeling stronger every day #QuitSmoking #NicotineFree (sic)"

The 37-year-old singer also hailed the "remarkable and inspiring" strength of her "soul mate", friend Michelle Mckenna, who is battling breast cancer.

Sharing a picture of them together, she wrote: "2025 was a big year in terms of emotional personal growth. A lot of chaos to work through. Especially for my sister @michelleplatnum embracing her breast cancer diagnosis. Surgery has gone well so far so good. What an absolute warrior. Her positive energy + ability to still laugh has been truly remarkable inspiring.

"You are not just my sister. You are my soul mate. + I don’t know where I would be in this world without you.

"I love you sis. You ain’t going NOWHERE! Her bravery inspires us all to check our own health. Family is everything! @iamdanieljohnson love you bro. #Threemusketeers.

"Please check your breasts! #BreastCancerAwareness (sic)"

Michelle replied: "Just love you to bits sis. don’t know what I’d do without x (sic)"

In her post of recent highlights, Tulisa also suggested she was writing a book.

An image of her legs as she reclined on a sun lounger was captioned: "Got back to my pool side book writing sessions after workouts (sic)"

And the former X Factor judge is excited about the future.

She concluded: "I know the universe always be plotting in my favour. Big leaps reap big rewards. I’m ready for what’s next (sic)"
