Krafton has declared its commitment to an “AI-first” approach and has allocated a substantial investment of $70 million towards the development of machine learning capabilities.

The PUBG: Battlegrounds studio has said it is planning a “complete reorganisation” of its business, and will implement AI into all facets of its corporation, including management systems, research and development, and company infrastructure.
In a statement, Krafton CEO Chang-han said: “Starting today, Krafton will automate work centered on agentic AI, and employees will focus on creative activities and solving complex problems as we fully implement an AI-centered management system.
“Through AI, we will accelerate employees’ growth and leap forward as a corporations that expands the organisation’s challenge areas.”
The publisher added it wanted to become “a global role model for the future of game development” with its push for AI.
Chang-han continued: “Through the AI-first strategy, we will expand opportunities for individual growth, enhance creative, player-centered experiences, and lead AI innovation across the gaming industry.
“By establishing an AI-centered operational standard, Krafton aims to become a global role model for the future of game development.”
As well as its $70 million investment in AI, Krafton will also invest a further $20 million in 2026 to actively support and train employees in using various machine learning tools in their work.
