A leak has revealed some players first impressions of the Skull and Bones closed beta.
First announced following the success of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Skull and Bones has seen a plethora of setbacks and delays, including more than 5 release delays!
The player was able to play for 6 hours, and described the game as seeming “very close to completion” and said it was one of the most polished closed betas they have ever played.
They explained that there is some land gameplay, which usually involves completing and getting new quests, however they noted that there is no land combat whatsoever.
The quests in the main game are fetch quests and crafting quests, including some fighting, which all begins around 2-3 hours into the game. The insider said it’ll be about 20-25 hours before getting Black Flag type ships.
They also explained that the ship combat is not that different from Black Flag, though they explained that you might have to sink 30-50 hours into the game before it gets good.
