Tyrese Gibson cleared of all charges following dog attack
Tyrese Gibson has been cleared of all charges in relation to his dogs allegedly attacking another.
Tyrese Gibson has been cleared of all charges, almost a year after his dogs allegedly killed his neighbour's canine.
The Fast and Furious actor was charged with one count of cruelty to animals in October 2025, as well as a misdemeanour dog-at-large charge and a nuisance charge, but the case has now been dropped.
Tyrese's attorney, Gabe Banks, said in a statement: “Tyrese welcomes the State’s dismissal of the charges and is grateful to his family, friends, and fans for their unwavering support throughout this process.
“As he moves forward, Tyrese remains focused on his work, his family, and continuing to show love and support to his community.”
On 18 September last year, police received a call from Harrison Parker, who lives across the street from Tyrese in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia. The man had left his five-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in his garden, which had an invisible fence, but found him dead.
At the time, it had been claimed the 47-year-old singer-and-actor's four Cane Corsos had been running loose in the neighbourhood and allegedly attacked the other pooch.
Police carried out a search of Tyrese's home and issued an arrest warrant for animal cruelty charges four days later, but neither he nor the dogs were at home.
Two weeks later, the Morbius actor made the "difficult decision" to rehome his pets and apologised to his neighbours.
His attorney said in a statement at the time: “Mr. Tyrese Gibson extends his deepest condolences to the family who lost their beloved dog to this tragic incident that occurred while Mr. Gibson was away from his home.
“Upon learning of this unfortunate accident, Mr. Gibson immediately made the difficult decision to rehome his dogs to a safe and loving environment.”
He confirmed his client was "cooperating fully" with the investigation and had turned himself in to the authorities.
At the time, Tyrese was booked into Fulton County Jail and released on the same day after posting a $20,000 surety bond.
