Prince Harry to talk World Cup football on James Corden's new show
James Corden has let slip that Prince Harry will appear on his new World Cup show "in a few weeks' time" to air his views on the tournament.
Prince Harry is to appear James Corden's new show "in a few weeks' time" to air his views on the World Cup.
Former Late, Late Show host Corden let slip that the Duke of Sussex, 41, will be a special guest on his FIFA World Cup on Fox After Hours With James Corden programme soon.
It came during a discussion on the show this week, in which Corden and his guest, former England footballer Rio Ferdinand, were asked where Three Lions captain Harry Kane would rank on a list of "all-time British Harrys".
James replied: "That's a great question. That is a great question."
Corden's co-host, comedian Ian Karmel, 41, who had posed the question, joked: "You've got more Harrys than any other country in the world. For me you've got Prince, Styles, Potter, Kane."
Ferdinand said: "Wow ... that is some Harrys."
James wasn't sure how to answer, and admitted it could take a while.
He said: "This show is only an hour long.
"I feel like we could sit here through to the breakfast show tomorrow and not get to the bottom of this."
Rio asked James if British comedian Harry Hill would make the list, but he immediately replied: "No. I love him, but I don't think he's an all-timer.
"Harry Secombe, again, a legend. But not an all-timer."
Corden's dad, who was also in the studio, suggested football manager Harry Redknapp could be on the list of great Harrys.
But James replied: "Harry Redknapp - again, I don't think he's an all-timer, dad."
Ferdinand confidently said pop megastar Harry Styles should be the number one pick.
James insisted Kane should be runner up, but the pair went for Harry Potter in second instead.
Joking about the fictional wizard - who came to life in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter book series - Corden added: "I do think the thing with Harry Potter is the weight that was on his shoulders.
"That kid was sleeping under the stairs."
James then stopped the discussion short, by telling viewers that Prince Harry will be on the show "in a few weeks' time".
As a result, he wanted to save the all-time Harrys chat for then.
