Cindy Crawford has spent 10 years battling a condition which left her with drooping eyelids.
The 60-year-old supermodel has revealed she previously put the issue down to ageing and tiredness but it started to affect her work in front of the camera and she didn't find a solution until two years ago.
She told PEOPLE: "I remember probably 10 years ago after I turned 50 when I would be doing early morning calls, they would be like: 'Are you fine to start at 6am?'
"[I would say] 'I can get up whatever time you want, but my face doesn't wake up until 9am, so just don't plan any close-ups or anything' ... I could see on camera that my eyes just weren't quite as perky as they once were ... [Make-up artists] would have to pick up [my eyelids] to get the make-up in there."
However, Cindy found a solution when her skin doctor recommended a brand of eye drops which helped her.
She explained: "About two years ago, my dermatologist told me about Upneeq [eye drops] as something that could help your eyes just look a little bit more wide open and awake.
"So I tried it. At first, I was only using it for shoots or when I really wanted to be on. But when I realized you can use it every day, I was like, ‘Why not?'
"It's [one of] those little things we can do to feel like the best version of ourselves. And, when women feel more confident, they present themselves in the world in a more confident way."
Cindy - who is now an ambassador for Upneeq - insisted discovering the eye drops stopped her considering more drastic measures like cosmetic surgery, adding: "The thing I love about Upneeq is it's not a big commitment. You're not going under the knife."
PEOPLE reports Cindy did not give any specifics about her condition, but blepharoptosis is known to give sufferers an unnatural drooping of the eyelids and Upneeq is designed to treat it.
CIndy went on to insist she felt good when she turned 60 in February because she's learned to embrace her age.
She added to the publication: "This year I turned 60 and honestly, it was easy. That one I thought would be hard. But, look, I'm not trying to be 20 or 25.
"I think that's my biggest change in how I approach beauty: I just want to feel like the best version of me. I don't want to look tired. I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard. "
