David Beckham pays tribute to wife Victoria on US Mother’s Day
Other celebrities including Kylie Minogue, Heidi Klum and JoJo Siwa marked Mother’s Day with emotional social media tributes as renewed attention focused on tensions within the Beckham family.
David Beckham helped lead celebrity US and Australian Mother’s Day tributes.
Even though the former England captain, 51, is British-born, he joined stars across America and Down Under who flooded social media with tributes to the women in their lives – amid continuing public fascination with David and his wife Victoria’s estrangement from their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham.
David shared his tribute to wife Victoria, 52, online on Sunday (10.05.26), praising the former Spice Girl as “the best mum” to their four children – Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.
David’s post arrived as tensions within the Beckham family continue to dominate celebrity headlines following Brooklyn’s recent attempts to distance himself from “Brand Beckham”.
The family feud has remained a major talking point since Brooklyn took to Instagram to accuse his parents of being “performative” and criticised Victoria’s behaviour at his wedding to actress Nicola Peltz, 31.
Brooklyn has also increasingly showcased his close relationship with Nicola’s billionaire parents, Nelson Peltz and Claudia Peltz in social media posts.
David, who rose to global fame during his football career with Manchester United and later became one half of one of Britain’s most recognisable celebrity couples alongside Victoria during the height of the Spice Girls era, shared his Mother’s Day tribute online as other celebrities around the world marked the occasion.
Australian singer Kylie Minogue posted a nostalgic photograph with her Welsh mother Carol Jones from the 1980s.
Kylie captioned the image: “Happy Mother’s Day to the BEST”.
The singer, whose career spans global hits including Can’t Get You Out of My Head and acting roles in Neighbours, has remained in the spotlight in recent months following the continuing success of her Tension era and international tour dates.
German supermodel and television personality Heidi Klum also shared photographs with her mother Erna Klum.
Heidi wrote in German: “Ich liebe Dich Mutti.”
The post translates as: “I love you Mommy.”
Meanwhile JoJo Siwa shared a lengthy tribute to mother Jessalynn Siwa, with whom she found fame on reality series Dance Moms.
JoJo has remained a trending figure in recent months following discussion surrounding her dramatic musical reinvention and appearances in reality television and pop culture interviews.
In her Instagram post, JoJo wrote: “There are no words that can describe my mom. She continues to better me every single day, is every way possible. I have her to thank for everything. She is the strongest and greatest person that I know... .”
JoJo added: “I couldn’t imagine a life without her being my mom... I’m lucky that I never have to.”
She continued: “I love you more that you know, and I think I’m officially probably old enough to start stealing your saying and say it back to you, I love you no matter what.”
JoJo also revealed she had prepared gifts for her mother while away filming.
She wrote: “I made her a special Mother’s Day box with lots of goodies to enjoy while I’m gone!”
Storm Keating, wife of former Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, also paid tribute to her mother in a heartfelt social media message.
Storm wrote: “Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful mummy Love our time together and love our chats, and love the way my babies adore their grannie!”
She added: “Thank you for being such an awesome role model, inspiring me to be hard working, positive and capable of anything like you.”
Meanwhile Nicola Peltz appeared to intensify ongoing speculation surrounding the Beckham family tensions after posting a photograph alongside husband Brooklyn and her parents Nelson and Claudia.
Nicola captioned the image: “My whole heart and world in one photo.”
