First two Dino Crisis games are available on Steam
The first two installments of Capcom's Dino Crisis series are now available on Steam.
Capcom has officially brought the original Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 to Steam for the very first time, resurrecting the cult-favourite survival horror series for modern PC players.
Originally released on PlayStation in 1999, Dino Crisis saw Capcom blend the tension of Resident Evil with prehistoric terror, swapping shambling zombies for razor-clawed velociraptors.
Players step into the boots of special agent Regina, sent on a covert mission that spirals into chaos when she discovers a research facility overrun by dinosaurs.
The game became known for its real-time action, puzzle-solving, and relentless atmosphere, earning a devoted fanbase over the years.
Its 2000 sequel, Dino Crisis 2, shifted gears into a more action-focused experience, sending Regina back into the Cretaceous Period to rescue survivors of a city displaced through time. With larger enemy hordes and a deeper arsenal of weapons, the follow-up leaned into arcade-style combat while retaining the series’ trademark dino-infested danger.
The Steam releases preserve the original gameplay while adding compatibility updates for modern operating systems and controllers, ensuring both titles run smoothly on today’s hardware.
To mark the launch, Capcom is offering both games at 50 per cent off for a limited time as part of its wider Steam publisher sale, which also features discounts on franchises such as Resident Evil, Onimusha, and Exoprimal.
For long-time fans and newcomers alike, it’s a chance to revisit — or finally experience — one of survival horror’s most unique and underappreciated titles.
