Amy Schumer addresses her marriage after weight loss
Comedian Amy Schumer had addresses speculation about the state of her marriage to chef Chris Fischer.
Amy Schumer has insisted the future of her marriage has "nothing to do with weight loss or autism".
The 44-year-old actress has addressed the state of her relationship with chef Chris Fischer following reports they had split, and she insisted her recent body overhaul and him being on the autism spectrum don't play into whether or not they stay together.
She wrote on an Instagram Reel: "Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism.
"Fingers crossed we make it through. He's the best."
Amy also reflected on her weight loss after losing 50lbs, which she insisted was "to survive" rather than simply "to look hot".
She wrote: "I didn't lose 30lbs I lost 50. Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary.
"I did it to survive. I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you but the Internet caught it and that disease has cleared.
"Sorry for whatever feeling it's giving you that I lost that weight. I've had plastic surgery over the years and I use Mounjaro.
"Sorry to anyone that lets down. I'm pain free. I can [play] tag with my son."
Early in November, the comedian took to her Instagram Story to address reports about her relationship and simply said that they were "still married".
Days later, an insider told PEOPLE Magazine that the couple - who got married in 2018 and welcomed son Gene into the world the following year - were "privately working through normal issues that couples in long-term marriages have".
The source added: "They are both committed to the relationship."
She marked their seventh anniversary in February with a cheeky joke referencing their prenuptial agreement.
Alongside a photo from their wedding day, she quipped; "7 years ago we signed a prenup and haven't had to utilize it! Love you babe. (sic)"
