The British funnyman - who rose to fame in the 1990s with his drag queen persona Lily Savage - died "unexpectedly and peacefully" aged 67 at home with his husband Andre Portasio by his side.

The animal-mad star lived on a farm in the Kent countryside and was adored by millions of viewers for his Battersea Cats and Dogs rescue show 'For The Love Of Dogs'
